Meet Beacon
The Experience Behind the Imaging

Beacon Vet Sonography was founded by Carrie Strickland, DVM, a 2010 graduate of Washington State University with more than a decade of experience in emergency and critical care, along with current small animal general practice experience.

PERSONAL STATEMENT

Dear Colleague,

I’m Carrie Strickland, DVM, and I’m pleased to introduce Beacon Vet Sonography, a mobile veterinary ultrasound service serving practices throughout Hampton Roads.

I created Beacon with a simple goal: to provide veterinarians with dependable, high-quality diagnostic imaging support directly within their own practice. My hope is to become a resource you can call when an ultrasound or echocardiogram may help answer an important clinical question or provide additional perspective on a challenging case.

Having worked in both emergency/critical care and general practice, I understand how valuable it is to have imaging that is not only thorough, but also clinically relevant, clearly communicated, and easy to incorporate into your patient’s care plan.

My approach is collaborative. You know your patient best, and my role is to complement your clinical expertise with thoughtful imaging and useful information. As a mobile service, Beacon allows your patients to remain in your care and in the familiar environment of your practice while providing access to advanced ultrasound and echocardiography.

I would be honored to have the opportunity to work with you and your team. My goal is to earn your trust and become a dependable extension of your practice—one you feel comfortable calling when you need an additional imaging perspective.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Beacon. I look forward to meeting you.

Warmly,

Carrie Strickland, DVM
